What is a Generational Curse? Many people do not know about generational curses. If you have patterns of destruction such as early death, self harm, poverty, or sicknesses such as cancer, heart disease, mental illness etc. you have a generational curse going down your bloodline.

Generational curses refer to the recurring patterns of misfortune, trauma, or negative behaviors observed across family generations, often manifesting as spiritual, psychological or physical issues. Generational Curses stem from a spiritual root, that can also correspond with psychological concepts like generational trauma and the effects of epigenetics, where environmental and social factors influence gene expression. These patterns can appear as addiction, abuse, financial difficulties, or unhealthy relationship dynamics, transmitted through learned behaviors, unresolved issues, or even biological factors. Breaking these cycles requires, a heightened awareness of family patterns, and making different choices to halt the continuation of these negative traits as well as inner healing and deliverance. 

*Cancer in more than one family member of the same bloodline.

* Suicide in more than one family member.

* Molestation, Rape, promiscuous behavior, especially between cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives. Rape of more than one member or multiple times of being assaulted.

* Generations of poverty or lack.

*Adulterous behavior, betrayal, multiple divorces or many family members end in divorce.

* Addiction happening to many family members for generations.

* Multiple generations of abuse or violence.

* Generations of anger, anxiety, fear, depression, rage etc.

What brings in a generational curse? Trauma, sin, emotional wounds from generations past.

Nothing escapes God, nor is there anyone who gets away with sin. Even if you carried your sin to the grave, Jesus says, “For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known.”‭‭ Luke‬ ‭12‬:‭2‬ ‭

For God said through Jeremiah “For My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from My face, nor is their iniquity hidden from My eyes.” Jeremiah‬ ‭16‬:‭17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The past does not matter to God for He is a just God and justice will prevail.

“The Lord executes righteousness And justice for all who are oppressed.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭103‬:‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
